FunFarra - Street entertainment

The Funfarra of the União Maçaense Philharmonic Society was founded as an integral part of the SFUM, the União Maçaense Philharmonic Society, in early 2017.

Created by musicians from the brass and percussion sections of the philharmonic band, it grew rapidly, motivated by the new musical style in which musicians were challenged to contribute under the direction of saxophonist André Pedro.

In its eight years of existence, Funfarra has performed numerous concerts, receptions, and street entertainment, livening up solemn occasions with its characteristic brio. A partner of Dançarão, it once again brings festival-goers to life on a street, announcing the opening of the evening's stage!
