Paulo Pereira is a musician, composer, and researcher specializing in environmental and biodiversity, as well as polyphonic and modal singing. He was the main driving force behind the Andanças Festival, coordinator of the Balho project, and founder of the groups Bailia, Uxu Kalhus, and No Mazurka Band. Currently, his work focuses on reinventing Portuguese folk music and is also a member of Dona Branca, which will perform at this festival.

The music ensemble workshop will share with participants tricks, tips, and methods for group folk music practice. Playing some well-known songs, but also creating new themes, all instruments and vocals will be integrated into a common project. Composition and arrangement techniques for traditional music will be explained, always intuitively and based on traditional practices. Arrangements will always be made by ear, without paper or sheet music. A new musical theory will also be covered, allowing for the analysis of music from all corners of the planet.
