Ricardo Ambrózio is a Brazilian dancer and choreographer trained in hip-hop, capoeira, ballroom dancing, ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance. His first exposure to rhythm and movement came at the age of six through capoeira. At 20, he left Brazil for Lisbon, Portugal, where he studied at the Escola Superior de Dança. He danced with several companies, including the Almada Dance Company and the Instável Company.
He dedicated himself to forró as the organizer of the Forrómania Festival in Torres Vedras and as a teacher, leading workshops at various levels and specialized courses at various festivals in Europe. He has also lived in Amsterdam and Brussels.
In the Forró do Dançarão workshop, he will use his own style and teaching method, offering a broad and unusual approach to the body, combining mixed forró styles, to prepare festival-goers for the Baile de Forró, featuring live music by Trio Exatamente.
